Primary Duties & Responsibilities:
This position has responsibility for the purchase and procurement of all indirect goods and services, plus a limited number of direct goods. Through personal leadership, the individual will develop/implement new tools and metrics that support a continuous process improvement mindset, with the aim of achieving best value from our comprehensive supply base. The goal is to optimize efficiency and effectiveness of our company through, better supplier fill rates and shorter lead-times, while identifying and capitalizing on opportunities to reduce the division's total cost of ownership for all assigned commodities.
The successful individual will establish a vision for a group of Planner-Buyers who have tactical management of purchases, overall supplier performance including delivery systems, quality, cost reduction, monitoring and Lean Six Sigma projects.
Your position includes developing, implementing and maintaining a strategic plan in different areas, such as: procurement, suppliers relationships, cost reduction, make/buy analysis, develop and manage metrics for some commodity responsibilities. Your responsibilities includes activities such as:
- Improve quality for European sourced parts.
- Select appropriate suppliers and organize an annual evaluation.
- Responsible of all daily purchasing activities.
- Recommend some existing suppliers and also search for new potential vendors.
- Initiate new ways of procurement and new projects.
- Control price level by using benchmarking.
- Provide the best possible level of service to all internal customers which is expected from a Procurement Department in terms of global quality.
You are also responsible for selecting, developing and managing a small team as well as manage Interplant and external supplier relationships.

- General knowledge of Marine products and/or retail industry.
- You are fluent English and French, both verbal and written. Every other European language is an asset.
